New product development for mixed beverages of Aceh robusta coffee and cocoa

Aceh Province is known by the central production of not only Gayo coffee but also Robusta coffee. They are produced on southwest coast and east for cocoa commodities. Meanwhile, there have been changes in lifestyles, especially millennial generation, including at Province. To reach opportunity it very urgent to realise a new product development based beverages. Focuses this research were obtain coffee-cocoa blend formulation that suitable consumers economical develop agroindustry. The design experiments was formulated an mix with percentages 20 : 80, 40 60, 60 40, 80 20. hedonic analysis done find out consumer preference aroma, colour, flavour, texture parameters. A feasibility study calculated R/C ratio (Revenue/Costs), BEP (break-even point; EUR) analysis. result shows (RK4) liked most panellists flavour description as moderate bitter strong aroma (RK3), meanwhile colour aspect, prefered RK1 formulation. Whereas 1.19, (EUR) 0.7 explain business deserves be developed.
